Who this policy is for
This policy covers the Balance Break iPhone app, operated by the independent developer behind toad.ing. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@toad.ing.
Information stored on your device
Balance Break stores the information needed to personalise and run the app locally on your iPhone:
- Onboarding answers, training focus, level, preferred session length, active days, and reminder times.
- Session history, completed and skipped movements, active minutes, streaks, and optional post-session steadiness check-ins.
- Your free-session allowance. This counter is stored in Apple Keychain and may remain after the app is deleted and reinstalled.
- Cached subscription entitlement information so an active subscription can continue to work temporarily while offline.
We do not receive this local exercise history or use it for advertising. It is not a medical record and is not synced to a Balance Break account.
Notifications
If you choose to enable reminders, Balance Break asks iOS for notification permission and schedules reminders on your device using the days and times you select. You can change reminders in the app or revoke permission in iOS Settings at any time.
Purchases and RevenueCat
Apple processes payments. Balance Break does not receive your full payment-card details. We use RevenueCat to offer, verify, restore, and manage access to Premium features.
For those purposes, RevenueCat receives an automatically generated anonymous app user identifier, purchase and subscription information such as product, receipt, entitlement, renewal, expiry, and refund status, plus limited technical information such as app version, device type, operating system, IP address, and last-seen time. Balance Break does not send RevenueCat your name, email address, exercise history, onboarding answers, or reminder schedule.
What Balance Break does not use
The current version has no account, custom cloud backend, advertising SDK, behavioural advertising, location access, contacts access, camera or microphone access, or Apple Health integration. If a future version changes those practices, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated before the change is released.
Service providers
- Apple provides the App Store, payments, subscription management, Keychain, and local notifications.
- RevenueCat processes subscription and related technical information on our behalf.
These providers process information under their own policies and applicable law.
Retention and deletion
Local preferences and session history remain on your device until you delete the app. Deleting the app normally removes its local data, although the Keychain-based free-session allowance may remain. Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase records for the periods described in their policies and as required for transaction, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes.
To ask about subscription information processed by RevenueCat, contact us from the support page. Because Balance Break does not have accounts and RevenueCat uses an anonymous identifier, we may need to explain what information is available and whether a request can be matched to the correct purchase record.
Your choices and rights
You can decline or disable notifications, change reminder settings, delete the app to remove its ordinary local data, and manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple. The Keychain-based free-session allowance may remain after deletion. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. Contact us to exercise a right.
Children
Balance Break is a general fitness app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Anyone under the age of majority should use the app with a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Balance Break changes or legal requirements develop. The latest version will remain at this URL with a revised date.
